African Women in Space (AWIS) is a not-for-profit foundation advancing women's leadership across Africa's space and geospatial sector. Women in Space Kenya (WiSK) is our founding national chapter. • Sign up for WiSK premium membership (name, email, phone, gender, date of birth, nationality, county/city, institution, and payment details processed on our behalf by a payment processor).
• Register or buy a ticket for an event such as the African Women in Space Conference (AWISC).
• Apply as a sponsor, exhibitor or partner, or submit a speaker application.
• Send us a message through the contact form, or raise or track a support ticket.
• Subscribe to our newsletter.

We may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as general usage data needed to operate and secure the website.

• To create and manage your WiSK membership, including issuing your membership number and confirming payment.
• To process event registrations and tickets, and to communicate with you about events you register for.
• To review and respond to sponsor, exhibitor, partner and speaker applications.
• To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form and support tickets.
• To send newsletter updates, if you've subscribed to receive them.
• To maintain the security, integrity and proper functioning of our website and programs.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our programs and this website, including with:

• A payment processor, to securely process membership and ticket payments (including card and mobile money payments).
• A cloud hosting and database provider, to store and manage the information described above.
• An email delivery service, to send confirmations, receipts and updates you've requested.

These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us, and we may also disclose information where required to comply with applicable law.

We keep your information for as long as necessary to provide our programs and services, maintain accurate membership and event records, and meet legal or accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to remove or anonymize it.

• You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
• You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.
• You can contact us with any privacy question or request using the details below.

Our website and programs are intended for adults and institutions engaging with the space and geospatial sector. We do not knowingly collect personal information from young children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
